BARC Celebrity Waiters' Luncheon
First up is BARC's annual fashion event, now in its second year. Guests will be entertained by local personalities like Mike Hart from Channel 23 and Alissa Carlson from Channel 17, who will act as "waiters," followed by a fashion show with apparel from Christine's and Lolo's. Because this fun-filled, two-hour event is held at lunchtime during the middle of the week, it may be tricky for people to attend, so BARC suggests making it an office party to show support and join the festivities.
Annual Fashionata Fashion Show and Luncheon

Symphony Associates of the Bakersfield Symphony will hold the Annual Fashionata Fashion Show and Luncheon at the DoubleTree Hotel.

After the social hour, lunch is served at noon: harvest chicken salad, Atlas toggle bracelet rolls with butter, gateau riche for dessert, coffee and tea. When lunch ends, prizes will be given to raffle ticket winners and the fashions from Pappagallo, Sugardaddy's, Victoria's and Pour Je will be modeled by a mix of professionals and members of the Symphony Associates.
Tickets for the event are $35 per person or $350 for a table of 10. The deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday.
